๐ŸŒธ Trying to Conceive & Fertility

Two-Week Wait (2WW)

The waiting period between ovulation and when a pregnancy test is accurate

๐Ÿ“– Definition

The colloquial term for the 10โ€“14 day period between ovulation (or embryo transfer in IVF) and when a pregnancy test will be accurate. During this time, the fertilized egg is implanting and hCG levels are rising. Testing too early produces false negatives. The 2WW is often described as the most mentally challenging part of TTC due to the uncertainty and symptom analysis.
