Start daily kick counts at 28 weeks (third trimester). Count at the same time each day โ€” pick a time when your baby is usually active.

๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Best Position

Lie on your left side or sit comfortably with your hand on your belly. After a meal or cold drink, babies tend to be more active.

๐Ÿ”ข What Counts?

  • โœ… Kicks, punches, rolls, and jabs
  • โœ… Flutters and swishes
  • โœ… Pushes against your ribs/bladder
  • โŒ Hiccups (don't count these)

๐Ÿ“Š Normal Patterns

  • ๐ŸŒ™ Most active: evening & after meals
  • ๐Ÿ˜ด Least active: when you're walking
  • ๐Ÿ“‰ Movement may slow slightly near due date
  • ๐ŸŽฏ 10 kicks in 2 hours = healthy baby

๐Ÿšจ Call Your Doctor If:

  • ๐Ÿ”ด You don't reach 10 movements in 2 hours
  • ๐Ÿ”ด You notice a significant decrease in your baby's usual pattern
  • ๐Ÿ”ด Baby hasn't moved at all for several hours during wake time
  • ๐Ÿ”ด Movements feel weaker than usual over multiple sessions
