Nausea and vomiting experienced during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester. Despite the name, it can occur at any time of day. Affects up to 80% of pregnant women. Usually begins around week 6, peaks around week 9, and resolves by week 12–14 for most women. Caused by rising hCG and estrogen levels.
