๐ŸŒธ Trying to Conceive & Fertility

Fallopian Tube

The tube that carries the egg from the ovary to the uterus where fertilization occurs

๐Ÿ“– Definition

One of two tubes extending from the uterus toward the ovaries that serve as the passage for eggs and the site of fertilization. After ovulation, the egg travels through the fallopian tube toward the uterus; if sperm are present, fertilization typically occurs in the outer third of the tube. Blocked or damaged tubes are a major cause of infertility and increase risk of ectopic pregnancy.
