A condition in which a baby is significantly larger than average at birth, typically defined as a birth weight over 4,000–4,500 g (8 lbs 13 oz – 9 lbs 15 oz). Associated with gestational diabetes, obesity, post-term pregnancy, and genetic factors. It can complicate vaginal delivery and increase C-section risk.
