Here is a fantastic drift car at a very decent price, and you’re gonna love it, we tell you. For those who drift well, of course you already know how much fun these drift cars can get. And for those who don’t drift, try this particular car out. You’d wish you started a long time ago.
The suspension system for this model is one of the best we have seen. It is very stable, and its shocks are capped with aluminum and actually filled with real oil. The car itself is full-sized, and the tires are made of good plastic. These two factors add up to make the car excellent for drifting. So, there’s no way you’re not having fun with this thing. Plus, it’s a 1:10 scale vehicle too, standard size.
The steering fitting is so precise, the car always gives a quick response and the engine is totally awesome. To keep the engine in check, the electric speed control is there. Plus, the car even comes with a very large bumper for those times when you accidentally bump into something. What’s a car race without an accidental bump or ten here and there, right?
And that’s not even the best part. Knowing how dirt can cause severe damage to your car, this car has its motor and transmission perfectly sealed. This way, no grime or dirt gets in to damage your car before you get to enjoy it to the max.
The battery is of very high capacity too, a whooping 3000mAH. You can be sure that this car is going to run and run and keep running for a long time. Thankfully, this item also comes with a charger as well. The body of the car also appears excellently made, so no doubts, this baby is going to last for you.
- The body is solid.
- The foam bumper that protects the car from a crash is a thoughtful addition as well.
- It comes with a charger.
- The ESC comes with reverse.
- The radio transmitter could be better.

Here at our number two position, we have one of the best off road remote control cars on the planet. Yes, sir! It’s a powerful car and boasts an amazing speed. Check out its brush 390 motor. It’s about the largest you can get and with it you can run up to 38km/h. This is the speed you came for, isn’t it? Total game-changer! We’ve got to warn you though, this car is super fast for its size (it is big), probably even too fast for indoor use. Some might call the body flimsy, but you will find out that this is one of the reasons the car can go at the break-neck speed you so love.
The control of this car is superior. The radio transmitter is designed to be ergonomic, but that’s not all, the steering and throttle are also highly responsive. Add that to the 260 feet range that this dude comes with and what you get is a fantastic off road rc car with amazing control.
And this car isn’t prissy, it does very well in all kinds of terrain, navigating them like they were all the same. It has this semi-waterproof feature that makes it great to play with regardless of the weather conditions. So, whether you choose to take your racing through sand, or on the grass, or even on marshy, muddy ground, this car is good with it. In fact, you’ll be able to make lots of difficult movements through those areas and you’re gonna love it!
Finally, this car comes with a 2.4Ghz radio transmitter system and the suspension technology is an S-Truck. These two factors add up to give a car that ensures a fantastic off-road performance, and is also great at specialized operations like drifts, flips, and almost everything else you want.
- It is super fast
- It comes with amazing control thanks to its ergonomic transmitter and highly responsive steering and throttle.
- Semi-waterproof feature makes it great for all terrains.
- The battery takes such a long time to charge and delivers only such a short runtime.

Our best cheap remote control car on review today is this wonderful piece from Top Race. If you need something that gives you the ultimate thrill of riding a monster truck for cheap, then don’t miss out on the Top Race RC Monster Truck.
Like a typical monster truck, this car is very strong. It is built to last regardless of how many times you crash and whatever you crash into. The strength of the materials used to build this car is very impressive. And this is also part of the reasons the truck is terrific for any kind of terrain at all. It’s built with an anti-collision structure, plus, it also features a 4 wheel drive, with very thick-threaded, anti-skid, oversized tires. All these features in place, this car won’t have any problems navigating through mud, gravel, grass, dirt roads, or shallow water. It won’t get stuck even on large obstacles, and it won’t break down for sure.
This is a 1:18 rc car, and it’s a realistic monster truck with all the appeal. It comes with dual motors, both super powerful. Plus, the crawling technology is one of a kind. Like we’ve already mentioned, the tires and shocks are specifically designed to give you the ultimate monster truck riding experience. So, get ready to enjoy racing through rugged roads and rocky terrains. Yes, this truck will be able to jump and climb over rocks and pebbles. You’d love the thrill!
This model runs on AA batteries, which is great because they are pretty inexpensive. However, they do provide a very long runtime. A freshly charged set of NiMH batteries, for instance, will easily provide you between 60 to 90 minutes of runtime. Isn’t that pretty impressive? Sure is.
Speed and control aren’t the strongest points of this truck though. This is not to say that the truck is entirely slow or without control, though. It is relatively fast and the control is good, just not very precise. But then, this is a budget car, not some expensive rc. So, RC hobbyists might be a bit unimpressed, but your 6 year old is going to love it for sure.
- Strong body parts.
- Strong motor and shocks.
- Long lasting batteries included.
- Doesn’t do great on speed and control.

At our number four position we have something the kids (and you) will absolutely love. This is our best remote control car for kids today. It comes with all the bells and whistles kids will absolutely squeal for and all the safety features to keep your mind at ease.
The tires are great and semi-pneumatic. This means that the way they are designed, they have great flexibility. Also, they come with a very strong grip on the road, with high friction and anti-skid features as well. So, even on slippery surfaces, the car just keeps on going, no stops, no skidding off, nothing. Still, on the tires, they are made of PVC, the high-grade, quality type, so they are safe for the kids. No worries there.
This model is a four wheel drive. Also, the suspension system is superb which gives the car body a very flexible quality about it. Because the car is most definitely going to be bumping and crashing into things a lot, it’s a great thing that the shocks are of superior quality. Now, whatever the car runs into, we can be sure that the components of the car will remain intact and you won’t be thinking of making a replacement soon.
For your peace of mind, this car does not race super fast, which is a good thing. The max speed for the car is only between 15 and 20 km/h. Now, even if the kids go playing in the neighborhood, you can be sure that no one is zooming off without control or getting hurt.
The batteries are rechargeable but do not give a very long runtime. And even though the manufacturers claim this is good for adults too, you might want to stick with giving this to the kids instead.
- Max speed is 15 to 20km/h which is safe for kids.
- Superior shocks and tires.
- Rechargeable batteries included.
- Batteries only run 20 minutes.

And a little something to keep the toddlers happy and engaged… It’s never too early to begin to pass down the rich tradition of car racing. So, here’s a fantastic rc car for the babies. In fact, if the reviews are anything to go by, this might just be the best remote control car for toddlers. Shall we have a look?
You know how the babies like them, bright and colorful. This car is very brightly colored to catch and hold your baby’s attention. Your baby’s sense of wonder will be piqued by how attractive this car looks. Plus s/he could also learn to appreciate colors better too. Also, the driver inside is removable as well, giving them even more ideas and more ways to have fun with just one toy.
In this car is a magic button that does awesome things like play music while the car races. Plus, it also causes some “blinky blinky” lights to begin to shine as well. Your baby will be completely enthralled by this car. There’s simply nothing else like it.
It also comes with just the right speed to keep your baby excited and yet safe. In fact, for them, this is going to be a lightning fast car. It will move forward, of course, but it can also reverse too. However, keep in mind that this car does not reverse in a straight line, it always turns left. But it’s for toddlers anyway, and we’re pretty sure they won’t mind.
Let’s talk about the build of the car for a bit… thankfully, it is well-constructed without any sharp angles or small removable parts that kids can choke on. This is very important for any toddler toy. Also, it has an ergonomic design that’s just perfect for a toddler’s fingers to hold and grasp. And again, knowing how toddlers can be, we are very impressed that this toy was made of tough materials that can take a beating. You know, just in case they decide to run a quality assurance test by flinging the toy all the way across the yard.
- Colorful and attractive enough for kids.
- Driver can be removed as an action figure for play.
- Tough build.
- Adults will get sick of the tune after a while because the music can’t be turned off.
- Apparently, all toys from this manufacturer use the same frequency. In simple terms, you can’t play with two toys from this manufacturer at the same time.

We’ve had a couple of off-road trucks on our review today but this is easily the best off road remote control car we have. We love almost everything about the car and customers are raving about it too.
This car is really sturdy, so it can hold up under any kind of abuse. Being an off road car, it sure will have to climb over obstacles, rocks, and what-not. Of course, in all of that, there’s going to be lots of bumping and crashing. With a sturdy structure, you can be sure that your vehicle will remain intact come what may.
We also love the fact that this car comes waterproof. This means that your play has no season. You can use this car even under the harshest of weather conditions. Snow, rain, even hail (please don’t be outdoors for this one), this car will glide through smoothly and none of the electrical parts will get damaged.
As for the suspension technology, it is S-Truck, which gives the truck the superior control and handling that it has. So, you can steer this truck whichever way you want and expect a quick, and precise response.
The truck is a 2 wheel drive with a 1:12 scale, but it’s got a speed of 40km/h. Translation: this should star in Fast and Furious. It is super duper fast. And we love it. It runs on a rechargeable battery. And the battery only requires about two hours to charge from empty.
- It is very fast at 40km/h.
- Solid, waterproof body.
- Precise control.
- Battery will only give a 10 to 15 minute run time.

Yup, it looks like a ford. If you want to initiate your kid as an entry level rc hobbyist, then this is the way to do it. Get them this wonderful race truck from Kid Galaxy. This truck is powerful! Unlike most rc cars you find that come with 9.6 volt batteries, this truck comes with batteries that are more than twice as powerful. The battery delivers 20 volts! That’s more than enough power to navigate the roughest terrains, pass through corners, and race through, even sand and gravel.
Plus, this powerful battery also gives the longest runtime we have seen so far in these reviews, and probably among rc cars in general. Normally, an average rc car can only go about 10 to 15 minutes before it runs out of power. But with this truck, you get up to 30 minutes of runtime. That’s more time to have crazy fun!
And you know what’s more? This car is very agreeable with training. If you still haven’t gotten the hang of racing rc cars yet, that’s fine. There’s a training mode which can help you pick up the skills. And then once you’re set, you can switch back to race mode and begin to race down at 30MPH. Amazing, yeah? And yes, what better news other than the fact that you can also record all the action on camera? This car comes with its camera mount, so you hook a digital camera on it and record how amazing your truck is.
For those who’d like to upgrade, all you need do is visit your hobby store to get some upgrade parts if you so please.
This car comes with its charger (pretty fast). And yes, you can race more than one car at the same time thanks to its 2.4GHz technology. Awesome! It certainly is one of the best radio controlled cars we’ve seen today. Certainly!
- Entry-level hobbyist RC car.
- Powerful 20 volt battery with 30 minute runtime.
- Compatible with digital camera.
- Although the truck is ready to run out of the box, it takes a lot of time and effort to get it out of the box in the first place.
What is the Best Remote Control Car?
There are a few things you must consider when going for the best rc cars. In fact, it’s not more of a question of the best rc cars, than it is a question of the best rc car for you. So, if you want to end up making the best decision, here are some things you must consider.
The type of RC Car: There are different types of RC cars and each one comes with its own different features and abilities. There are street cars, drift cars, crawlers, buggy cats, truggy cars, and rc trucks. Look carefully into any car you hope to purchase first to see if it matches your personal style and preferences.
Size: There are different sizes an rc car can come in. they could be small (1:18 scale) or large (1:8 scale), or standard (1:10 scale). In recent times though, micro cars as well as mini cars have begun to appear on the scenes. Though these guys seem small, they boast a very high performance, so you can be sure that enthusiasts are digging these cars a great deal.
Power Source: You can choose an electric car or a nitro car, but it will depend on your personal abilities. Nitro is a better option for hobbyists who prefer the realism they offer with all the noise and smoke and all. Electric cars are much quieter though and they are also a lot easier to operate.
RTR or Assemble: RTR, Ready to Run, cars are a lot easier for beginners than those
requiring assembly. But then most trucks requiring assembly come with full, easy-to-comprehend instructions too, so they shouldn’t be totally knocked off the table.
Speed and range are other factors you need to consider. Speed is self-explanatory but as for the range, it refers to the distance from which the remote can still control the car.
Before getting an rc car, you must get familiar with some basic terms involved in “handling” such as camber, oversteering and understeering, caster, etc. Also learn one or two things about “suspension tuning” as well.
Maintenance: Especially if you’re a beginner, you need something that is easy to maintain. Standard, electric cars are a much more preferable option for beginners than hobby level nitro models.
So, those are the top seven factors you must put into consideration when gunning for an rc car. Once you’ve got these settled, the remaining parts are just a matter of personal preference. You’ll sort those out on your own pretty easily.
Other People’s Opinion
There are all kinds of rc cars on our reviews today as we promised you. We’ve seen how different customers react to each of these cars and it’s mostly a matter of preference than which is the absolute best.
For instance, more hobbyists tend to go for the Exceed RC Drift Star Remote Control Drift Racing Car. Even though it isn’t nitro, it’s a standard rc car. Plus, it drifts something awesome too.
However, for those on a budget, the Top Race RC Monster Truck seems to be the choice. It’s a small car with its 1:18 scale but it comes with really strong parts. And it’s not enough that it doesn’t cost so much, it also lasts very long so one won’t be needing a replacement soon.
For those who are still entry-level hobbyists, the last car we reviewed seems to be their obvious choice. In fact, from what we can see, this might just be our best remote control car for 4 year old/5years old/ 6 years old/ 8 years old/ 10 years old/ 12 years old. It has such a wide range because of its training mode feature. It is a favorite for hobbyist parents who wish to initiate their kids or kids beginning to show a hobbyist interest in rc cars.
However, which is our favorite car? It has to be the GoolRC C12 Electric Off Road RC Car, obviously. It is fantastic on every count. From control, to speed, to versatility, this car is our obvious winner. We love it and we’re sure you’ll be impressed by it too.
